"You and I are told increasingly we have to choose between a left or right. Well I'd like to suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There's only an up or down: [up] man's old -- old-aged dream, the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order, or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism."

Why You Need to Own a Gun

Incredible audio of a lady calling 911 while a man attempts to break into her home.

Note that the lady isn't a "trigger-happy", death-seeking person who just clings to her religion and her guns, well maybe to her religion and gun. But that's not what the media wants you to believe about gun-owners. They want you to believe that we are incapable of properly handling a weapon and using it to defend ourselves... guess she proved them wrong. She showed extreme courage and patience as she waited as long as possible before having to take action to defend herself. Thank God she had a gun and was able to kill the perp before he made a victim out of her.

Quote of the Day

"There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily." - George Washington

Where is Our William Wallace??

RedState.com has a great article talking about the lack of leadership in the Senate GOP on the current Healthcare bill/debate. The issue is that GOP "leaders" do not have the courage to take a stand and fight to the bitter end, for what is right and true, for freedom and liberty. When will men such as William Wallace arise and charge into "battle" for our freedoms and liberties? As Wallace said "Men don't follow titles, they follow courage.". We are tired of "titles" telling us what is good for us... we want courage from our leaders.

This dearth of leadership doesn't exist just in the US Senate, but rather at EVERY level of government (Federal, State, County, and City) - in both the Democrat AND Republican parties. We do not have courageous men who are willing to fight for future generations, so that they might enjoy the freedoms that God has graciously granted us here in America.

Rather we have men who "think the people of this country exist to provide them with position." Sadly here in GA we have had a very recent example of this type of "leader", our House Speaker Glenn Richardson. This man was like the "nobles" of William Wallace's time - he believed that we existed to provide him a position of power, money, and women. He cared not for his family, his constituents, his state, nor his reputation. He cared only for himself and his selfish desires. He is not the only leader such as this... there are more down there that need to be sent home - but in order to do that we need real men who will stand up and show them the door.

We need men who believe that "their position exist to provide people with FREEDOM... and will  make sure that we have it."

Has Arnold Lost it?

Amid the unveiling of the ClimateGate emails from last week, which all but proved that Global Warming is a hoax, Arnold Schwarzenegger comes out with a map of San Francisco flooded in the future and a video of all the horrible things that "climate change" is going to do by the end of the century. Has he lost it??
A map of how California will be affected by climate change in the future was unveiled yesterday by state governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The map, which demonstrates the devastating effects of global warming in just a century, shows how San Francisco Airport would be completely underwater if sea levels were to rise by 150cm (60in).

The coastline on the map was also coloured, highlighting how nearly half a million Californians are at risk from rising sea levels. - Click here for the full article

And this is all happening while the national weather service is predicting to have the 'earliest snowfall ever' in Houston on Friday!

So I guess "Cali-forn-nia" is going through global warming while Texas is going through global cooling, right? Oh wait, then it wouldn't be 'global' would it?
The National Weather Service says much of the area could get from a trace to an inch of snow.

But Houston only sees snow, on average, about every four years. And never this early in the season: Friday's, if it comes, would be the earliest snowfall ever in Houston, beating the record tied last year by six days. So forecasters like Fred Schmude, of ImpactWeather, are wary. - click here for the full article

ClimateGate: The end to Al Gore?

Unfortunately probably not. The way the media is ignoring this it probably won't affect him or the global warming hoax. Incredible!

This information also outs the so called "conservatives" who have been supporting the climate change hoax (i.e. Newt).

From the Washington Times -
Scientific progress depends on accurate and complete data. It also relies on replication. The past couple of days have uncovered some shocking revelations about the baloney practices that pass as sound science about climate change.

It was announced Thursday afternoon that computer hackers had obtained 160 megabytes of e-mails from the Climate Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in England. Those e-mails involved communication among many scientific researchers and policy advocates with similar ideological positions all across the world. Those purported authorities were brazenly discussing the destruction and hiding of data that did not support global-warming claims.

Professor Phil Jones, the head of the Climate Research Unit, and professor Michael E. Mann at Pennsylvania State University, who has been an important scientist in the climate debate, have come under particular scrutiny. Among his e-mails, Mr. Jones talked to Mr. Mann about the "trick of adding in the real temps to each series ... to hide the decline [in temperature]."

Mr. Mann admitted that he was party to this conversation and lamely explained to the New York Times that "scientists often used the word 'trick' to refer to a good way to solve a problem 'and not something secret.' " Though the liberal New York newspaper apparently buys this explanation, we have seen no benign explanation that justifies efforts by researchers to skew data on so-called global-warming "to hide the decline." Given the controversies over the accuracy of Mr. Mann's past research, it is surprising his current explanations are accepted so readily.

There is a lot of damning evidence about these researchers concealing information that counters their bias. In another exchange, Mr. Jones told Mr. Mann: "If they ever hear there is a Freedom of Information Act now in the UK, I think I'll delete the file rather than send to anyone" and, "We also have a data protection act, which I will hide behind." Mr. Jones further urged Mr. Mann to join him in deleting e-mail exchanges about the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC) controversial assessment report (ARA): "Can you delete any emails you may have had with Keith re [the IPCC's Fourth Assessment Report]?"

Man in Coma for 23 Years Heard Everything!

Here is an amazing story out of Brussels! And to think that there are people out there who openly call for people like this to be murdered, as Teri Schiavo was a few years ago in FL. A sad state of affairs for the morality of our society.

As a side note - they came to the US for tests 5 times, wonder why they didn't go to England or Canada for that???
BRUSSELS (AP) - A man who emerged from what doctors thought was a vegetative state says he was fully conscious for 23 years but could not respond because he was paralyzed, his mother said Monday.
Rom Houben, 46, had a car crash in 1983 and doctors thought he had sunk into a coma. His family continued to believe their son was conscious and sought further medical advice.

Professor Steven Laureys of Belgium's Coma Science Group realized that the diagnosis was wrong and taught Houben how to communicate through a special keyboard, said Dr. Audrey Vanhaudenhuyse, who is on Laureys' team.

Rom used the device to tell a reporter for the German magazine Der Spiegel that: "I screamed but there was nothing to hear."

Belgian doctors who treated him early on said that Rom had gone from a coma into a vegetative condition.

Coma is a state of unconsciousness in which the eyes are closed and the patient can't be roused, as if simply asleep. A vegetative state is a condition in which the eyes are open and can move, and the patient has periods of sleep and periods of wakefulness, but remains unconscious and unaware of him or herself or others. The patient can't think, reason, respond, do anything on purpose, chew or swallow.

But Rom's parents would not accept that he was comatose or vegetative.

His mother, Fina Houben, said in a telephone interview that they took him five times to the United States for tests.

More searching finally got her in touch with Laureys, who put Houben through a PET scan that indicated he was conscious. The family and doctors then began trying to establish communication.

A breakthrough came when he was able to indicate yes or no by slightly moving his foot to push a computer device placed there by Laureys' team.

Then came the spelling of words using his finger and a touch-screen attached to his wheelchair.
